THE GRINDING PROCEDURE

Using the new method only the natural stones can be successfully renovated, especially those containing lime-stone. The floors described in the introduction can be returned the original lustre using the new grinding method. During the years of usage the, natural stone lining get worn out by walking on it, by strokes andscratches, chemical reactions and "flourishing". The original beauty and shine dissapear and marble becomes difficult to clean. The new method of cleaning and renovation of marble is revolutionary so the replacement of the floor is unneccesary. The new method is more effective in comparison with the traditional grinding techniques, and the floor regains its original lustre in shorter time.

The traditional grinding procedure:

The traditional grinding of marble with the silicon carbide grinders showed ineffectiveness, i.e. a sediment is produced by the usage of grinders, which further causes reduction of the capacity and effectiveness of grinding. The connectors are melted in the cooling water, the grains disintegrate and produce a sediment or slime during grinding. Thus the efficinecy of grinding is changed. According to the quality of the floors (hard or soft marble or granite) the effectivness varies and the final grinding result is not always satisfactory. Besides, it is neccessary to remove the slime during the procedure using the water vacuum cleaner. Only a skilled professional is succesful in performing the job with long-continued work over the grind surfaces.

The new system, in contrary to the old one, works with the diamond grind units made of vac diamond layers, put together with the pitch. During grinding the diamonds do not change the hardness or the efficiency. There is no slime produced during the procedure to impede the grinding effect. The diamond grind completely melts in the cooling water during the work. After grinding the water is immediately removed using the water vacuum cleaner. The effect of the new system is as follows: less time used, less used grind units, reduction of the multiple performance of the work.

Three steps:
The renovation of marble depends on the three steps: firstly, the removal of the grease and other dirt from marble. The second step is grinding of the scratches and damaged places on the floor, using different one-disc machines equiped with a special handle. Different diamond elements used as additional parts and convenient for certain types of marble are easily changed in the machines.

These six (or four or three) amazing diamond elements are easily removed and changed without using any tools after the usage. Easy to understand coloured code of the elements organizes different states of grains that are suitable for soft marbles (Carrara, Verona), hard marbles (Trani), marble conglomerates as well as the size of their damages (scratches, channels, etc.).

The grinding is performed after soaking the floors in order to achieve cooling of the diamond elements.As a rule the work is started with the rough grind elements where the floor is badly damaged or on some parts of the floors, in continuation finer grind elements are used. It is essential to control the result of grinding and to level the other parts of the floors immediately. The parts of the floors that are not badly damaged are grinded with finer grinders. Finally the floors are polished to the final shine.

The third step is to clean the remaining water and to wash the floors using the one-disc machine with the soft brush.

The new grinding method is a big step froward in the renovation of marble.
